Logo
Our distinctive icon, created by opposing "Vs," is a seemingly three dimensional shape that represents the passage through which we uniquely see our customers' needs-from their perspectives. The italics forming the word "VistaBank" reflect our proactive forward thinking relative to our meeting those needs with products, services, and business practices that clearly distinguish us from our competetitors. Our History
VistaBank was organized to provide community banking services to the Aiken and Columbia markets and is the only commercial bank headquartered in Aiken County. The Bank received preliminary approval from The State Board of Financial Institutions on June 8, 2007 and the FDIC on August 28, 2007.
Banking operations were begun in January 2008 at 128 Laurens Street, NW in Aiken, South Carolina and 1219 Assembly Street in Columbia, South Carolina. The bank offers a full line of deposit products and services, commercial, construction, real estate, consumer and mortgage loans.
Paul Dusenbury, President and CEO stated “We believe the high turnover and more rigid style of large, regional banks have left customers, specifically small-to-medium businesses, professionals, contractors and consumers, ready to change their banking relationships,” said Dusenbury. “We believe that a community bank with local management is well positioned to establish relationships with these customers and we also believe that the Aiken and Columbia markets are poised for continued strong growth.” He continued “VistaBank will distinguish itself by providing the level of personal service often associated with a community bank while offering the technology and skilled advisors to deliver sophisticated financial products and services”. “We intend to create a banking culture that truly differentiates us from others, “ said Dusenbury. “Others have made the same statement, but few actually accomplish it. We’re committed to doing things differently and believe we will effectively execute on that commitment. All management and loan decisions will be made locally, a difference that we believe will be readily apparent to our customers.”
